Frequently asked questions

  • The Sustainable Events Course runs annually each January and during the summer. Our fifth edition starts on 25 September.

    The inaugural edition of The Advanced Sustainable Events Course will also begin on 25 September.

  • The courses run for 6 weeks. You will have access to the course materials for approximately 10 weeks.

  • The courses will be hosted on our virtual platform, and you can watch the lectures wherever you are in the world as they're all pre-recorded. Joining instructions will be provided nearer the time.

  • Yes, the courses are accredited by the Continuous Professional Development Standards Office.

    You will receive a certificate of completion after finishing the course, regardless of whether you choose to submit the optional report (for The Sustainable Events Course) or test (for The Advanced Sustainable Events Course).

  • Both courses cost £695 + VAT per student. If you'd like to discuss group bookings for either course, please contact Ross Barker: rbarker@ntmllc.com.

  • There will be a live Q&A at the end of both courses. You'll be able to submit any questions you have about the course before and during this session and a recording of the session will be emailed out to all students afterwards. You can also take advantage of the chat function within the virtual platform to ask any questions and discuss the modules with students.

  • The courses are designed for event and meeting professionals from agencies, corporates, and associations, and suppliers including hotels, venues, and destinations.

    The Sustainable Events Course (formerly The Complete Sustainable Events Course) is an introductory course, for those beginning or in the early stages of their sustainability journey.

    If you have already taken part in The Sustainable Events Course or have an intermediate-advanced understanding of sustainability within the meetings and events industry, then The Advanced Sustainable Events Course is the one for you!

  • Yes, there are optional activities that you can participate in if you wish, such as quizzes and questionnaires.

    At the end of the 6 weeks, you will have the option of submitting a carbon report (for The Sustainable Events Course) or test (for The Advanced Sustainable Events Course), using your learnings from the course.

    As part of both courses, you will receive complimentary access to isla's TRACE platform for 4-6 weeks. TRACE helps you measure and minimise carbon at live, hybrid and digital events - so this will be particularly useful if you decided to submit the optional carbon report for The Sustainable Events Course.

    Anna and her team will review your report/test so you'll get helpful feedback and insights for your next event.

  • Yes, all sessions are pre-recorded and are available on-demand so that you can consume the course at your own pace. A new module for each course will be released each Wednesday at 10:00 BST, beginning on 25 September. You will have access to all course materials for approximately 10 weeks.
